Speed Video Converter is a small video conversion tool. It has a very simple user interface and good format support. It supports all the most popular formats, like MPEG-2, AVI, XVID, MOV, FLV, 3GP, RM, etc. It doesn't really have any conversion profiles, but you should be able to use this tool to convert files for playback on mobile devices, phones, and consoles.
Speed Video Converter is supposed to be a fast tool for converting video. In terms of conversion speed, I thought it was on par with other similar tools. Not faster, but definitely not any slower than others. I found that the interface made it easier and thus faster for me to add and convert files, though. Simplicity is the key here. The application also supports batch mode conversions, but all the files have to be converted to the same format.
In my testing, I used a high quality MP4 sample file. It was 56 seconds long and Speed Video Converter (due to the limitations of the trial) only converter 30 seconds of it, in under 20 seconds or so. I am sure lower quality videos will convert faster than that. You can change the conversion settings and save the differences, or go back to defaults at any time.
